In that case, you might be able to become a successful pet blogger because you care more about pets than you do engineering.

Pick a Name
Every successful blog has a name, and your name will help your readers recognize your articles online. So whether you’re writing a blog for parents or blogs about pets, your blog needs a name that can help it stick out among the competition.
If you have an idea for your blog name, make sure the domain hasn’t been registered by anyone else before you make the final decision.
Your blog name, which will be your domain name, should be descriptive so visitors know what your blog is about even before clicking a link on Google. If you’re blogging about a specific topic, consider including that in your name.
For example, if you’re blogging about cryptocurrency, try to add something about crypto that’s easily recognizable.
If your blog covers many topics, you can try using something like your name or some variation of your name.
Put it Online
Now that you have a blog name in mind, it’s time to put your blog online. First, you’ll need website hosting and blogging software to get your blog going. If you’re using something like WordPress, these two are typically packaged together.
A website host stores all of your content and delivers them to your audience when they visit your blog. You can’t have a blog without having some type of host.
You should also have software that easily allows you to build your blog.

You can also start blogging immediately after you’ve designed your blog from the dashboard. Don’t publish your website until you’re ready with at least a few blogs so you can start putting content out there.
Write a Few Blogs
You should never publish a website that doesn’t have any content. If you haven’t started writing any blogs yet, now is the time to start. Since you’ve already spent some money on hosting, you might as well start putting it to good use.
If you’ve picked a niche, you probably already have a few topics to write about in your head.
However, you should do a little research first.
For example, if you’re writing about pets, you can perform a quick Google search to see the types of topics other bloggers are writing about.
Read those articles to learn about the tones used and the types of content that resonate the most.
You should also take a look at the format and structure of the blogs. Most blogs will have only one H1 (heading) and multiple H2s or H3s (Just like the blog you’re reading right now)
Once you have a few blog ideas, start writing. You can choose to write it directly in WordPress or copy and paste it into WordPress later.
Post Your Blog
Now that you have at least one blog ready to share with the public, it’s time to post it on WordPress or any other blog software you’re using. Make sure to add photos and videos to make your blog more engaging.
Promote Your Blog
You can promote your blog in various ways, but the easiest way is to use social media. If you believe your blog can be a success, consider creating a business profile for it on different social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.

So if you want your blog to show up for particular keywords, you’ll need to optimize it. Since you’re just starting, you should learn a few of the basics of SEO so you can do it yourself until you’re comfortable hiring professionals to do it for you.
You can use various SEO tools, but the easiest thing to do is search for the keyword you want your blog to show up for on Google.
Then, take a look at the first couple of results and make a note of things like word count, structure, and how many times they use the keyword. Then, try to write a better blog than they did.
